Thank you for the wonderful learning that we have done together over the past few months. I initially contacted you as I am a trained pediatrician who had done many circumcisions but I was looking to become a mohelet. As a busy doctor and mother, I would not have been able to travel to you to take part in the learning in-person. I really appreciate how you were able to work with me. We were able to set up Skype learning, which allowed us both to be flexible on when the classes would take place, while not taking away from the learning itself.
Your course was extremely comprehensive. We studied the halachas regarding brit milah, but also looked at the mitzvah from a cultural and historical perspective. Your course covered responses from the Orthodox, Conservative, and Reform movements. You also gathered together many good sources from religious and secular worlds on circumcision. By the time we were finished, I felt like I had read every piece on circumcision ever written!
My favorite part was the last class, where I put together my service for the bris and you were able to help me walk through it and hone it to be the best it could be!
